Kasveilla ei ole päätä tai aivoja samoin kuin ihmisellä, mutta silti ne pyrkivät tietoisesti
eteenpäin. Tätä kutsutaan tiedostamattomaksi tarkoituksenmukaisuudeksi1. Myös useat
ihmiskehon liikkeet toimivat ilman tietoista ajattelua. Teos pyrkii tavoittelemaan tätä tiedostamatonta
aluetta, samalla kysyen mikä tai kuka todella kontrolloi kehoamme? Videolla
esiintyvät kasvit ovat Ruusupapu ja Elämänlanka.

Plants do not have a head or brain in the same way as a human, but they still consciously
move forward. This is called unconscious expediency1. Also, several movements of the
human body work without conscious thinking. The work seeks to reach this unconscious
area, while asking what or who really controls our body? The plants featured in the video
are Rose Bean and Lifeline.
1 Unconscious expediency is a concept used by the philosopher Michael Marder in his
book Plant thinking: A philosofy of vegetal life.
